You can make an exception by doing the following:
1. Enter the gradebook and find the student who needs an extension, click on their name. You will see a list of all the assignments in the class and the individual's progress for each.
2. Click on the grade in the "Grade" category for the assignment that you want to give an extension.
3. Click on the "Make Exception" button
4. Fill in the form with the new due date. You can also manually deduct late passes, and apply a late penalty from here if necessary.
