Desmos In Assessment Embedded Calculator

On June 16, 2020, we released the Desmos In Assessment Embedded Calculator in Lumen OHM. The embedded calculator supports all three Desmos calculators (basic, scientific, and graphing) and allows for mix and matching within an assessment. Teachers can specify which assessments have it enabled or not. Note that the embedded calculator is available only for new assessment format courses.

Enabling the Calculator for an Entire Assessment

The embedded calculator can be enabled for all questions on an assessment in the assessment settings page.

  1. Click on the gear icon next to the assessment for which you would like to configure the Desmos Embedded Calculator. Select "Settings" from the dropdown.
  2. Expand the "Help and Hints" section.
  3. Locate "Embedded Calculator". Select from the dropdown menu the desired calculator to enable for the assessment.
