This article contains information on how to copy your Waymaker from your course template to other course shells using your LMS.
We recommend maintaining a “template course” for changes that you copy into each section with students. You can use this template course to build and customize your course. Contact your LMS Administrator for a blank course shell that you can use to customize your course.
Quick Facts:
- You need to set up the Messaging Tools for EVERY section. Here are instructions.
- You cannot copy your Waymaker course from one LMS to another LMS. For example, if your institution moved from Blackboard to Brightspace, you will need a new cartridge. Submit a ticket or connect with your Lumen representative. We can make this transition easier for you.
- You may copy Waymaker content from one course shell to another using the standard course copy process of your LMS.
Common Scenarios For Course Copying:
- You are a course coordinator or a lead who manages the template course for your department. You can customize the template course and share it with your colleagues.
- You have multiple instructors who plan to teach using a common version of the Waymaker content, study plans and quizzes.
- You plan to copy your course content term-after-term for ongoing use. If you’re also planning to use the same course sequence, assignments, or other supplementary materials, we recommend completing all modifications to your “template” course before copying it into additional sections.
