Lumen One For Students: How to Use the Lumen Community

This article contains videos for students using the Lumen One Community.

How does it work?

Inside your Lumen One course, your professor can provide access to the Lumen Community, a place to get and give help. The Lumen Community is moderated by Lumen staff and includes all students taking the same course across the country.

The Lumen Community is a place to ask questions, find additional resources and support, and collaborate with other students across the country who are using Lumen One in their course.

How do I participate?

  • Ask questions and share:  If you have a question or an idea to discuss, the community is the place to start the conversation. When you ask questions and share in the community, everyone benefits from your posts and the feedback you get from your peers and the moderators.
  • Answer questions:  It feels good to help others, but that's not the only reason to do it. Some questions are best answered by a peer who is (or has been) in a similar situation.
  • Provide feedback: Did someone ask a good question? Up vote the question so everyone knows where help is needed, or a topic deserves more discussion. Did an answer help you? Up vote the answer so everyone knows the answer is helpful. Did a resource help you? Up vote the resource so others know where to find useful information.
